Nestled in the heart of one of Melbourne’s most exclusive suburbs, Ruyton Girls School sits proudly, boosting a history that stems back some 150 years. Their heritage listed building that occupy the grounds requires an experienced builder who understands the sensitivity’s required to ensure that the old and new blend seamlessly. ByDesign undertook this challenge with fantastic results, over multiple projects.

Completed projects at Ruyton Girls School include upgrade works to the principals office & administration areas and fit out of the school café and Year 11 & 12 study areas.

The upgrade works consisted of works to the entry foyer, waiting & meeting rooms, principal office, administration office and a new health area which required significant thought with a number of complex structural elements that had to be overcome throughout the build.

The study area included collaborative zones, quiet study rooms, kitchen, break out space and integrated lockers.

The café included an acoustic ceiling feature, lighting, polished concrete floor, reconfigured servery and new furniture.
